Description
This is a pencil drawing possibly imaginary, of a simple two wheel cart with two shafts. A load of sacks has been sketched in.The piece was drawn by W. G. Simmonds around 1925. There is a note on the drawing reading "The only cart in the neighbourhood of Oakridge in George Gardiner's youth. He told me that he did not see a proper pony trap until he was 14 years old." This picture was mounted, framed and glazed at Picture craft on London Street, Reading.
