Description
This driving apron was used as protection against dust while driving traps or other open horse vehicles. It was used at Moorland Farm, Silverton, Exeter. It is finely woven in natural linen and striped in a darker shade of fawn.

The driving apron was used as protection against dust while driving traps or other open horse vehicles. // This apron was part of the trousseau of Miss Mary Trood of Moorland Farm, Silverton, Exeter. It is finely woven in natural linen and striped in a darker shade of fawn. The pattern of horse shoes is of a similar shade, but of closer weave than the cloth. The apron is fringed at the two shorter edges. // The apron is 6 feet long exclusing the fringes and 4 feet wide.'
