Description
There are three bells in this set of team bells: two are 'packhorse bells', also known as 'crotal bells' or 'rumblers', and one is a 'latten bell'. All three bells were made by Robert Wells of Aldbourne, Wiltshire, and probably date from the eighteenth century or early nineteenth century. The bells were originally owned by Thomas Aldridge of De la Beche Farm, Aldworth, Berkshire, in the late-nineteenth century.
