Descripción
This is a model of a portable steam engine, in a wooden case with a glass front. It was made by the donor’s paternal uncle, James Fisher, of Fyfield, Oxfordshire, in 1862. It passed through the family to the donor’s cousin, then brother, and eventually to the donor. It was exhibited at the Rural Industries Bureau stand at the Oxfordshire County Show at some point. The model was in working order at the time of donation to the Museum in 1958.
