1 honey extractor: metal; slightly rustyExtractor, originally cream in colour, now rusting and yellowed: cylindrical with 2 handles on side; tap at bottom for draining off honey. Lid in 3 parts: 2 removable sections with metal handles; central crossbeam bolted to main structure. Metal shaft runs through crossbeam: lower end rests in a socket on base of bin; 4 wire mesh rectangles hang from top square to lower one, forming a square mesh tube with open corners. Honeycombs are placed inside mesh and whole framework is turned by handle on top of bin; honey is thrown by centrifugal force out of framework and collected at base of bin. Base slopes down from middle in cone shape to aid draining of honey towards tap
