Historia del archivo
MERL 'Handwritten catalogue' form – 'WINDER // Also known as a "Niddy-Noddy" Another example in the Castle Museum, York.', Letter, W. S. Redhed to Mr Jewell, 25 January 1961 - 'I am wondering if you are familiar with the device which was known here as a "Niddy-Noddy". Thread or yarn was wound onto it from the spinning wheel. It seems likely to me that it ws used by anyone who did not have what we call a "Clock-Reel" or a "Yarn-Winder".'
