Descripción
This wedding dress was worn by the donor's mother, Mrs. George Elderfield (nee Emily Pratley), for her wedding at Bodicote, Oxfordshire, on 23rd June 1910. It was made by a local seamstress in the village, and is made of cream cashmere, trimmed with lace. The lace may have been made by the donor's great aunt.

If so, it would have been made on a "pillow" and known as "Buckinghamshire". // Additional information // Notice the beautiful lining in bodice, also the smallness of the waist measurements. // It is interesting too to see that the present fashion for "separates", was also fashionable in 1910.'
