Descripción
This is a drawknife, also called a 'draw shave'. It consists of a blade which was pulled along the wood surface towards the user, by the two handles at either end of the blade. Drawknives were often used in conjunction with a shaving horse, a stool with pedals with which the user could grip the wood to be worked on in front of them. This drawknife was used in Horton-cum-Studley, Oxfordshire.
