Descripción
This frame saw for cutting along curved lines came from the donor's wheelwright shop in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. It was used for cutting the felloes (rim sections) for the wheels of wagons and wheelbarrows. The piece of wood to be sawn was fixed at an upward slant or horizontally in a bench vice and the workman grasped the saw by its two handles and sawed up and down with the teeth held away from him.
