This pillow was used for making pillow lace or bobbin lace. The pillow acts as a support for the lacemaking process, in which threads are crossed and plaited round and between pins which control the design.

1 lacemakers pillow: fabric; leather; hessian; straw; good conditionThere is a leather strip with a pattern, pinned down onto striped material that is pinned onto the top section of the pillow. There are a variety of fabrics sewed around the pillow.
Historia del archivo
