Historia del archivo
MERL miscellaneous note - 'Used on farm of Mr Dawkins at Wilcote, Oxfordshire. Sir Hugh Rhys Rankin tells us that he visited Mr. George Dawkin's farm in the early 1900's. Mr. Dawkins, like Sir Hugh, was a member of the Dynevor family of Dynevor Castle, Carmarthenshire, South Wales and used to obtain Dynevor oxen from them. These oxen were rough white beasts with black points and long horns and are now becoming rare (1954). They were last used on the farm at Wilcote in about 1912 and the job the last one was put to was to draw a water cart.'
