Description
This cultivator, or 'harrow', was used on Marlers Farm at Gissing, near Diss, in Norfolk. It was drawn by 2 - 4 horses, and consists of a wooden triangular frame with iron tines. The set of the teeth is keen, so that it hardly ever needed to be weighted; it digs down into the soil as soon as pull is exerted before going forward. It is thought that it was possibly made in the Great Ellingham area of South Norfolk.
