Description
This badge was given away to festival-goers at the 1992 Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts. 1992 was the first year of the NME stage; the badge reads: 'Glastonbury '92 // Behind NME Lines.' It is white with black lettering, and is a circular brooch-type badge. The museum acquired the badge from someone who attended the 1992 Festival, and remembered it being sunny and hot, so that the site was more like a dustbowl than the more recent 'muddy years'.

As a consequence it was a bit of a dustbowl bacl then, quite a contrast to the recent muddy years! The Fall were awesome on the Pyramid Stage. I remember sitting on my mother's shoulders when Lou Reed played 'Sweet Jane'. Morrissey cancelled a couple of days before the festival and there were loads of disappointed Morrissey fans there.'
