Description
This is a set of 3 graining brushes used for creating wood grain effects in paint. These were used by J & H Corfield, Grainers and Marblers, 16 Kensington Gardens, The Drive, Ilford, roughly in the first half of the twentieth century. They were used all over the country, especially for brewers who favoured marble pillars and oak panelling.
