Description
This is a set of five cotton tray cloths or doilies which have been crocheted by hand, used on cake stands at the tea table. The doilies were made and used by Elenor Crane, married name Barker, used from 1903-1929.

5 crochet doyleys: cotton and linen; fair condition1) round doyley: cotton with feather stich border to centre and knitted edge 2) round doyley: drawn thread line on cotton centre, crochet edge in cream cotton 3) round doyley: with crocheted lace, border in white cotton 4) round doyley: small cotton centre, knitted border in white cotton 5) rectangular cotton with crochet border-scalloped edge
