Description
This is a kneeler, for general use around house and farm when required to work kneeling down. This kneeler is curved and made of elm. This item came to the museum as part of the Sharp collection.

Archival history
The Sharp Collection of agricultural and dairying equipment was compiled by Reverend C. J. Sharp at Wonersh, Surrey. Reverend Sharp died in 1967 and the Museum acquired the Collection for £60 in 1968., MERL ‘Handwritten catalogue correction’ form – ‘PERSONAL Use // Kneeler // Kneeling mat // Materials: Wood and elm // Association detail: used around the farm and house // Rev Sharp // [pencil drawing].’
