Description
This is a large sized pitchfork, known as a 'Gambril' which was used on a small holding at Great Cornard, Suffolk. It was generally used for gathering loose straw together, rather than as a pitching tool. An unusual feature in this fork is that the tines are round, rather than square, in profile.
