Description
Hop tokens were given to pickers as their baskets were measured and emptied. Payment was made at the end of each week according to the number of tokens each picker possessed. This hop token consists of a circular piece of lead 1 inch in diameter. It has 'T.D.12' stamped on it, and originally came from Ewhurst, East Sussex. It was also previously part of the collections at the Curtis Museum, in Alton.
