Description
This very narrow paring chisel was used for fine paring and trimming. It came from the workshop of the donor's father, who was a wheelwright and carpenter in Braishfield, Hampshire. The turned wooden handle is decorated with a number of grooved circles. It is stamped with an image of an acorn and the words 'CAST STEEL' on the blade.
