Reaccessioned as 86/3.
This trunk was for personal use. It has a basketwork frame covered in leather and is black with brown leather trimming and fastenings. It has a tray inside and has one leather handle. The other handle is missing and has been replaced by a piece of red plastic. On each end of the trunk is the inscription 'P S'. It bears a label reading, 'Mr H. Henderson'. The trunk was found in the Museum unaccessioned and its history and context are unknown, but it has been in the collections since the early days of the Museum.
