Description
These are four teat cups made of tinned metal with rubber liners and used with a milking machine to milk cows. Three of the milk nipples are flat, one is "funnel shaped" which is a newer version. Each teat cup has the following parts: 1. Outer casing; 2. Mouthpiece; 3. Rubber lining; 4. Milk nipple; 5. Nut; 6. Wing nut. Inscribed on the cups is the following: 'TYPE JB2 // VACCAR LTD. // AUSTRALIAN PATENTS // 2010 03 - 8747 - 07 // CORRESPG PATENTS // OTHER COUNTRIES'. One wing nut is missing. They were donated to MERL by Mr. Harold W. Burry via Mr. R. H. Burton. Mr. Burry managed the Vaccar Ltd office and works at Christchurch, Hampshire, from 1928 until circa 1948. Vaccar Ltd is a developer of milking machines. Mr. Burton also worked for Vaccar Ltd.
