A white cotton work bag embroidered in white with the initials 'DLC'. The bag contains various lace, netting and other textile samples. They came from the donor's mother-in-law's house in Kent, and were probably made by her aunt.

The front of the flap is embroidered in white with the initials DLC. // The bag contains items 79/28/2–8 // Dimensions: 23 cms square // Associated information: This bag and its contents come from the donor’s mother-in-law’s childhood home on the Downs north of Canterbury, Kent. She is now 83, the lace samples may have been her own work, but more likely that of an aunt with whom she lived during her school years.
