Description
This angler’s basket or ‘creel’, for use by a fly fisherman, was made in 1968 by Finch and Sons, a basketmaking firm in Gloucester. It is pouch-shaped basket with a round front and flat back (traditionally, the back curves inwards) made of buff willow. It has a webbing carrying strap, a leather strap fastening and a metal buckle.
