Bestandsgeschichte
MERL Recording form – ‘Additional information: I bought the whistle about 2 years ago in Porto-bello Road Kensington London from an intelligent & interesting you man who told me that it came from … a lot of miscellaneous objects at a sale at Sandwich. He was interested in it and had enquired about it locally at the time of the sale. He had been told that it was a local shepherd’s whistle used for signalling to a dog.’
