This square tin, with detachable lid, is a Huntley & Palmers biscuit tin. The base is stamped 'Huntley & Palmers Ltd. Reading, Made in England'. The lid is decorated with a photograph of purple clematis flowers, and the sides are decorated with stencil-like images of purple flowers and green leaves against a dark blue background. It was used at the donors' previous home at Tutts Clump, West Berkshire. The tin design is 'clematis' number '60/2921', made by Huntley, Boorne and Stevens in 1966.
