This hand-coloured lithograph print is entitled 'The Trusthorpe Ox'. It was painted by B. Hubbard, lithographed by J. W. Giles, printed by J. Graf of London and published by S. W. Fores of Piccadilly c.1837. The print depicts a shorthorn ox against a background of trees. The ox was bred by William Loft and won the prize at the Smithfield Club cattle show in December 1836. It is one of a collection of paintings and prints thought to date from the last quarter of the 18th century to c.1860.
