This weeding tool is designed in much the same way as a dock lifter, but is much smaller in size. It was used for uprooting daisies, the curled iron semi circular piece giving leverage. It originally came from Pangbourne, Berkshire.

MERL 'Catalogue index' card – 'This tool used in the garden to uproot daisies is designed like a dock lifter but is much smaller in size. It is made or [sic] iron and is 9 inches long. It has two prongs each 2 1/2 inches in length which are set 1/2 inch apart. The curled iron semi circular piece to give leverage has a radius of 2 1/4 inches. The handle is missing. The tool was originally used in Berkshire.'
