Beschreibung
This rake was used for combing straw when making reed for thatching. It was used at East Combe Farm, in Somerset, when the donor was a joint tenant in 1919. An armful of straw was taken from a bundle of trussed straw, and suspended from a rope at a height convenient for the worker to comb it, leaving the straw straight and clean.
