James Dixon and Sons (Manufacturer)

This is a powder measure, used for measuring portions of gunpowder used in shooting. It was used at Great Milton, Oxfordshire, and was made by James Dixon & Sons, of Sheffield. It is inscribed 'James Dixon & Sons 1108', and dates from c. 1870-1880.
