This navy scarf with four white stripes lining each edge was donated to MERL along with various material from the Milk Marketing Board by David Hoddinott which was handed down to him from his father who worked at the Milk Marketing Board from 1945 until he retired in 1984. Printed in one corner of the scarf is the following: 'MMB // 50th Anniversary // 1933-1983'.

My late father worked at the M.M.B. for 39 years from 1945 until his retirement in 1984 and during his time there he collected a lot of memorabilia including many of their quarterly staff magazines and various other publications which have, with the demise of the M.M.B. in the early 1990s, become items of local and social history. // I would appreciate it if you would please let me know if any of this material might be of interest to you.
