Beschreibung
This is a teat cup from an Alfa-Laval Company Ltd. bucket type milking machine. It is made of brass and copper. The teat cup, which is usually fitted with a liner, fits over the cow’s teat. A milking machine has four teat cups, as cows usually have four working teats. This teat cup, along with other parts from the Alfa-Laval bucket milker, belonged to the donor’s father-in-law, a part time farmer in Buxton, Derbyshire, 1950–1990.
