Beschreibung
A singeing lamp used to singe the hair from a horse as an alternative to clipping it. It was used in the stables at Assendon saw mills in Oxfordshire. It has a semi-circular head and a hollow handle. A wick is set in the head and would be fuelled by spirit poured into the handle. The lamp also has a toothed edge for combing the coat.
