Beschreibung
This meat hook was found in the outer kitchen of a farmhouse at Lapworth, Warwickshire, which had an open hearth with a bake oven on one side and a copper on the other. This hook was used to hang meat when cooking over an open fire. in conjunction with a crane or hanger. This hook is made of two pieces of iron which swivel on each other so that the meat could be turned when roasting.
