This is a model dressing machine model, made by A. Gentry who made full sized machines, at Great Totham, Essex. He made this model for the amusement of his children.

This was made for amusement of his children. 2 relations of some village were in competition making cleaning machines. Visit on 27th August 1970- Miss L. K. Gentry with nephew (donor) provided further information that from A Gentry made dressing machines- at least two generations- his father (maker if model) and his father. Mid 19th century origin in Essex. Also repaired malfunc machines at later period.’
