This is the share of a breast plough. A breast plough, also called a paring plough, is pushed along the surface of the ground by a person, and the share pares away the top soil and turf. This share was made by Isaac Russell Nunney, of Kempsford, near Fairford, Gloucestershire.

The socket has a square cross-section. The two wings of the roughly D share project at [right angles] to the socket. // The left-hand wing is bent up at [right angles] to the share blade and reinforced by a rectangular piece of iron riveted to the blade with six rivets at the point just before the wing bends upwards.'
