Beskrivelse
A leather pouch containing three butter and cheese samplers, used by Alec Todd at the British Dairy Institute in Reading in the 1920s and 1930s. One sampler is made of nickle with a spoon end, one is made of horn and is double-ended, and the third is made of steel with a brass and plastic handle. The leather pouch is marked 'A. Todd, B.D.I., Reading'. The equipment came into the donor's possession when the Department of Dairying at the University of Reading closed. The donor had studied in the Department 1935–1938.

Mrs Thornborrow was a student in the Department and acquired the kit at the time of the closure of the B01. She was a student from 1935–1938 (see attached letter) // The pouch has “A. TODD, B.0.1., READING” inscribed on the inside of the top.’
