These two bowls were used by the donor's wife's family in Pamber Green, Hampshire, for setting milk. Each is a shallow bowl, made of metal and coated in white enamel.

Mr S. H. Rose, the donor, trained as a wheelwright in Bramley, Hampshire. He is connected to the Wigleys of Wigley and Sons, builders in Silchester, Hampshire, through his wife's family (his wife's aunt married a Wigley).
