Beskrivelse
Horseshoes are nailed or glued to the horse's hooves to protect the hooves from wear and tear. Nothing is known of the origin of this key hole horseshoe. It is fullered, meaning it has a groove running along the surface into which the nail holes are placed, but the nail holes are not easily distinguishable. The caulkins, protrusions at the toe and heel of the horseshoe which provide additional traction, are worn down.
