Beskrivelse
This is an earthenware 'Dorset Pill' shape bottle for carrying cider out to harvest fields. It was made in Corfe, Dorset, and was bought from the village store there in 1909. It is unclear from the accession records whether this place name refers to Corfe Castle or Corfe Mullen, both of which are in Dorset. The bottle's original glaze is now almost entirely worn away.
