Beskrivelse
This mortising chisel, or 'bruzz chisel', originally came from Bushell Bros., canal boat builders in Tring, Hertfordshire. It was used for squaring out mortice holes and cleaning out the corners of spoke mortices (to create joints in wood). The wooden handle has been completely worn down by constant hammering. It is inscribed with a now illegible name, probably that of its maker, and 'Sheffield'.
