This is an original cartoon design by Michael O'Connell, which was used to create one of a set of wall hangings which were displayed in the Country Pavilion of the 1951 Festival of Britain. This cartoon depicts Scotland and Wales, and shows a farm in the centre of the image, surrounded by fields, with a river to the left and a steep hill, with sheep grazing, behind.
