This is a 'Trott Brush' type pony drill made for seed sowing. It has 3 rows and 3 seed boxes and spouts (it was originally designed for sowing two rows but a third was added later after trials). It was made by William Troth of Bearley, near Stratford-upon-Avon. It will drill any seed except turnip and swedes. It was made in 1830, used every year up until 1950.
