This is a tinted photograph of six painted glass roundels showing the first six months of the farming year. These were roundels placed in the windows of the Manor House at Norbury, Derbyshire by John Fitzherbert, who inherited the site in 1483. Fitzherbert was the author of the first printed work on agriculture 'Boke of Husbonddrye' published in 1523.
