الوصف
These two clay tiles, one of which is straight and the other slightly cambered and each with two fixing holes, came from the old Parish Room in the south of the churchyard of Saint Michael and All Saints' Church in Warfield, Berkshire. They may date from as early as the fifteenth century when the Parish Room was built, although it is possible that the building was originally thatched and so they may be a later addition. The tiles were removed from the building when it was repaired in 1941.

تاريخ أرشيفي
‘Bricks and Tiles’ document in accession file – ‘Site: Warfield Old Parish Room on the South of the Churchyard. // No. of Bricks or Tiles: 2 // Date Removed From Site: 1941 // Approximate Date: Possibly 15th century. // These tiles were taken from the roof when this 15th century building was repaired in 1941. They may be of the same date as the original building, but that building may have been thatched and the tiles may date from when the thatch was removed and the roof tiled. The straight tile looks older tan the cambered tile which may have been a later insertion.’
