تاريخ أرشيفي
MERL 'Catalogue index' card – 'This iron pot hook was used for suspending utensils over the fire. It was hung either directly on a chimney bar, or hooked into a hanger, (see 51/868L). // This hook is in the shape of an elongated letter S, with one end rather larger than the other. Probably the pot would have hung on the larger hook. It measures 6 inches in length, 3 inches across, and .5 inch in width. It is the same general size as 51/875L, though not so strong, but the accompany photograph makes it look rather larger. // See also 51/875L.', Lavinia Smith Catalogue (D60/28) - 'A list of the contents of the East Hendred museum. July 5 1940 // Heating and Cooking // 200. A handmade iron holder on which a large pan could rest suspended over a low fire. From Nat Slade, wheelwright of Wayford, Somerset.' (nb. It is inferred that Smith's description is of this particular object - It could also be 51/875)
