This is an original poster for the 1970 film 'The Go Between', which starred Julie Chrsitie and Alan Bates. The artwork for the poster was by Arnaldo Putzu, and it was printed by W. E. Berry. The film was largely shot at the then empty and semi-derelict Melton Constable Hall, former home of Lord Hastings. The sotry is set in 1900, and is a story about the lost innocence of youth, about love, and about class, and was based on the 1953 L. P. Hartley novel of the same name.
