This tool has a short wooden handle with D shaped end which continues into a long flat portion which has a metal blade end. The knife is used for harvesting peat. The blade has two straps which are screwed to the sides of the wood. There is also a metal flange at right angles to the blade. This was one of a group transferred to the Museum via Michael Hardy of the Dept Zoology. They came originally from Calthorpe Broad, Ingham, Stalham, Norwich.
