الوصف
This is a hand-coloured lithograph print entitled 'The Thorney Prize Ox'. It was painted by James Clark and published c.1859 by C. Moody of Boston, Lincolnshire. The ox, which was bred in West Ashby, Lincolnshire, by Mr E. Griffin and fed by Samuel Marriot, won several prizes in London, Peterborough and Oakham. It is one of a collection of paintings and prints thought to date from the last quarter of the 18th century to c.1860.
