- الوصفThese two Persian bells, one for each leg, are for a peregrine 'tercel', a male falcon. They were attached to the falcon's leg by means of the green leather strips, known as 'bewits'. The earliest accounts of falconry, the art of hunting prey using trained birds, date back to 2000 BC.
