This is a wrought iron meat fork with three prongs used for roasting. The fork was certified by a curator of Wolverhampton Museum as Tudor in date, but is of the type common in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries so could be from a later date.

MERL 'Catalogue index' card – 'This meat fork is of the type used for roasting. Mr. Bell says that it was certified by the curator of Wolverhampton Museum as Tudor though in fact this type of fork was most common in the 17th and 18th centuries so that it may well be of a later date. The fork is made of wrought iron with three prongs and a slightly decorated handle. It is 25.1 inches long. The outside prongs measure 3 inches, the middle one being slightly shorter.
